A character from a YA novel a friend of mine has written – “Henry and Eulalie” – (link to book on amazon) His name is Mocarsto, the primary antagonist of the story. Dark haired, cruelly handsome, intelligent and firmly entrenched in the belief that he is acting for the benefit of his people. In his outstretched hand he’s holding the annwyn, a marble-like magical item from the story.
“Mocarsto was not the image of evil Henry had envisioned. He possessed an air of civility that was notably absent from his henchman… As Mocarsto began to speak, he did not belie their first impression.”
